The authorities of the Nigerian Army have heeded to the order of President Muhammadu Buhari to move its command centre to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital to fight Boko Haram sect. According to sources, all arrangements have been concluded for all Service Chiefs to move in tomorrow (Tuesday).

In a press statement signed by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, and made available to our Correspondent in Maiduguri on Monday, a reconnaissance and advance team for the establishment of Military Command and Control Centre (MCCC) for Operation Zaman Lafiya for the fight against terrorism and insurgency has already moved to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. It further stated that the fight against terrorism and insurgency would be monitored, coordinated and controlled from this centre. Colonel Usman stated that an alternate command centre is also being established in Yola, the Adamawa state capital of the north east.
