65 year old Prince Aladetoyinbo, successfully emerged the new Monarch of Akure after beating twelve other contestants nominated by the Osupa ruling house last week Friday. the new Deji-elect, who was elected on Sunday is a son to the immediate past head of the Osupa ruling house.

Already, a traditional rite for Prince Aladetoyinbo to ascend the throne of the Deji of Akure Kingdom is on going at the House of Chief Asemo of Akure.

It was gathered that the new Deji, Prince Kole Aladetoyinbo, who lives in Baltimore, United States of America, until his selection had earlier contested the throne before the reign of the deposed Oba Adesina Adepoju.
