Main Reason Pmb's Relocation Has Been On Hold. Exposed...... by Xcellkarter(m): 6:07am On Jun 09, 2015 |
Over a week after his inauguration, President Muhammadu Buhari, is yet to move into Nigeria’s seat of power, Aso Rock. There are indications that Buhari will not move into the presidential abode until there has been a thorough spiritual cleansing in the villa. According to a Villa source, who spoke to Breaking Times, the cleansing will be carried out by a team of Senegalese Marabouts. The source said: “The Senegalese Marabouts engaged to carry out the cleansing of the Villa before Buhari moves in are yet to arrive. It is not immediately clear why they have not arrived. But I can authoritatively tell you that the President will move in to the Villa once the cleansing is done.” The source went on to dismiss claims by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, that Buhari hasn’t moved in because of the renovation work ongoing in the villa. “It’s a blatant lie. The Villa has been renovated and completed even before President Jonathan left office. So what is he saying? The Villa, without renovation is in good enough shape for any President to function. The renovation was only carried out as a routine requirement for the new President,” the source disclosed. President Buhari has since been operating officially from the Defence House, Maitama and sleeps in one of his private residences in Aso Drive, Abuja, drawing complaints from several staff at Aso Rock, who say Buhari’s refusal to move into the villa was slowing down the business of governance. Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has also not moved into his residence at the presidential villa as a sign of respect for Buhari. He has also been functioning from a private residence in Abuja. A state house correspondent told The Cable on Friday, June 5, that it could take another two week before Buhari finally move into Aso Rock. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s first lady Aisha Buhari, has also been receiving visitors at the Defence House, just this past Sunday, she hosted a delegation of Adamawa state women there |
