meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning between President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senators could not hold as scheduled following the failure of the President to attend the meeting.


DAILY POST gathered that the meeting which was to hold by 9am at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja was to be presided by the President himself who was to address the disagreement among some APC Senators over the Senate Presidency’s position.

A mild drama however ensued at the venue of the meeting as some lawmakers who were waiting for the President became agitated and confused when information got to them that Saraki had emerged the Senate President. They however rushed out of the ICC, heading to the National Assembly.


DAILY POST recalls that Saraki was elected Senate President even while some of his colleagues were still waiting to have a meeting with President Buhari.
