Popular ghetto singer, Friday Igweh, aka Baba Fryo, in a recent interview speaks about how land selling changed his life even though music showed him to the world. He also announced he’s back into music and would release an album soon.

Talking about featuring new artists, The ‘Denge Pose and Notice Me’ singer, said he has no interest in new artists and won’t feature them in his up coming album titled, ‘We no Send Dem’.

He says, “By the special grace of God, I made some good money as a land speculator. Apart from helping to keep body and soul together, the business has changed my life. But show business brought me to limelight and I could never have abandoned it.

“I thank those who have cheated me. But for their actions, I would not be where I am today. And these include those who introduced me to the land business.

When asked about his new land business and wealth accrued from it, he said, “I am not like other artistes that like to talk about their worldly possessions, the millions of naira in their bank accounts and more. So I won’t tell you what you want to hear. I am just a simple man and I want to keep maintaining a low profile.

Asked if he would change his style as he returns into music, he said, “I have decided to update the style due to pressure from my fans. Each time I try to do other things, they insist that I must do my original style. So I had to satisfy them.”

As for collaboration with new artists, “I won’t even consider it because I don’t want any trouble with these young boys. Many of them have no respect for older musicians. So I want to do my thing alone.”
