The sensor is for Peugeot 206, 306, 307, 406, 407, 607, 806, 807, etc, with petrol engines.

The upstream oxygen sensor has green connector and it controls fuel consumption. If faulty, will increase fuel consumption very high.

It depends on the emission system. Some Peugeot have Upstream (green socket) and Downstream (blue socket) oxygen sensors, while some have only Upstream oxygen sensor mounted on exhaust manifold, depending on country of production.

The downstream sensor with blue socket in Peugeot 206 is mounted under the catalytic converter, for the ones that have it. You need to be sure which of them is faulty (if any is faulty at all).
