UnfriendAlert is an app that purports to notify users when they are unfriended, in reality it is designed to steal user login and password details.

Users are invited to enter their log in details in order to activate the account:



The entered user info is then directed to yougotunfriended.com - a website controlled by charlatans for the purposes of cyber crime.

Users are advised to uninstall UnfriendAlert and change their password if they have installed it and to refrain from doing so if they have not.

Users should also install a good anti-malware program and do a thorough scan.
