When you live alone, most times you are partly mad. Even more so if you envisage yourself a wordsmith. Words trek in your head all day, imageries perch and swat and grumble and won't bloody seat one place!
No one to challenge your thoughts, to polish them, to amend them, gradually your mind fleshes grownup charaters, you begin to talk alone; loudly and once a while puff laughter and hit the table a few times. Your next-door neighbours begins to suspect you; smile irksomely at you. You become a human theatre, your mind- an ensemble of well dressed-mobile commotion.
By chance, you are amongst that supposedly elusive class of Nigerians who critically think, about the packaged insanity of our Political System. - It means you are restless and constantly battling things you can't word or freely share with people. "Birds of a feather argue together" a friend sarcastically opined once, I laughed then but not anymore, these days its hard to find a few decent and logical conversations with most youths online.
These days, everywhere its either about the ecclesiastical flinging of Amen-rumours or some nonsensical gossip about who a certain Person or thing took selfies of, or with or on. You get flabbergasted, you withdraw to a new routine of stories from a painstakingly selected sources and once a while, you surface on Facebook or Twitter and banter with the madness.
Sometimes it helps, most times it doesn't, you had seek to preserve your sanity but gradually it seems you are loosing it.

The world is been serialized- all the glittering and gloss. Substance is dead, buried inside our lust for acceptability. Somewhere deep inside, you know this, you resist it but its like standing alone beside a bustling swimming pool- everyone else is swimming and laughing and flickering and smiling and happy but you know they are drowning. You resist the prancing urge to take a dive into that fickleness, to feel like them, to feel the coolness of that water against your skin and now, you are alone outside, enduring the scorching heat-
Suddenly, without thinking, you get up, UnCloth, stretch your limps and walk to the edge of the swimming pool- should I jump
