Slumdog Millionaire is an Academy Award-winning 2008 drama film directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan,[3] and written by Simon Beaufoy. It is an adaptation of the Boeke Prize-winning and Commonwealth Writers' Prize-nominated novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. On February 22, 2009, it received the Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director, along with six other Academy Awards.
