Suppose your spiritual leader, pastor or imam, turns you against your fiance/fiancee whom you truly love by one of those 'prophecies' or 'crystal ball seeing of the future 'and you ended up breaking up. You go your way he/she goes his/hers, get married to different people all together. Few years later you find out that the pastor or imam was nothing but a fraud. What would you do or think of religion or religious people?
Please, I'd appreciate comments from serious minded people as scenario like this is playing out in somebody's life but he is yet to know it.

He should live on with his current status quo because he allowed himself to be tricked by every wind of doctrine.

The bible spoke about this.

1) beware of false prophet
2) test every spirit
3) study to show yourself approved unto God : a work man that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15

I'll advise he should carry on with his life and he should know that all things work together for good to them that loves God and are called according to his purpose.
