Can someone please tell me what the term "shegede" means in English? I've been told it's some type of infection, but I would like to know the English equivalent.

Shegede (parotitis) aka mumps is a viral infection affecting mostly school age children.the affected child usually present with swelling of the parotid gland,fever,headache and vommiting may also be present.
