No be one place I just go oooo. I even do small aroro ooo. Tin tomatoes no fit be like and canned food is not too good for us men.

Lmao. I bought that size for 100 naira recently. Tomatoes are quite expensive at the moment. The heavy downpour isn't too friendly with the tomatoes.

Tin tomatoes n fresh can never taste alike.d fresh taste is not there.for those of u saying use tin tomatoes.some people like me dont like it.i use only fresh for my stews

Lol! Got something similar for 500 today in Ph, funny enough I thought she was playing a fast one on me since I didn't buy from my usual customer. Even plantain and pepper join the hike. angry angry.

the first thing I did was laugh.

its the same everywhere so Dont tink its only your side that sells like this.best thing to do is to mix it with tin tomatoes to increase the quantity

The tomatoes are even plenty, next time, just buy dried pepper, (tatashe and shombo, add onions and grind, as for the tomato taste, add tin tomato. Man gats to chop.

Use tin tomatoes with fresh shombo and tatashe...lots of it, you wont notice the difference.
I m just to lazy to grind fresh tomatoes

Hahaha,I feel u bro. But abg dis sef affect evn spinters and family pple because na 250 own I buy yday,tiny white tins so,pepper 50 naira. Na two tin tomatoes I use;pepe terra and st Rita. My stew ended up lookin dark jare,me wey no too lik tin tomatoes taste but I had no choice. Its for a while sha,soon it will flood d market again.

Tomatoes are not as readily as available during this period of the year i.e rainy season. You will notice the large sized tomatoes are more or less not in stock anymore.

The Ramadan that also coincides with this period of course has encouraged* further hike in price!

That's how it is everywhere. Same for pepper and crayfish and plantain. Though the quantity of pepper and crayfish is now better even that of tomatoes too. Last 2 -3 weeks it was 4 or 5 pieces for N200
