THE GREAT RAPE! AFRICA FROM FOOD SHORTAGE TO SERVITUDE!!!

Sometimes a difficult situation present itself for good fortunes. In Africa case food shortage is leading into many troubles because of the help she sought... The idea of producing more using high yield crop varieties, the quest for quantity against quality, is taking the power of seeds away from the farmers into the laps of multinational companies.
As the silent seed war ravage on like wild fire, many hungry malnourished Africans gleefully grace the voracious western media.

The seed companies kept telling our farmers that they have superior seeds that provides high yields, but at what cost? The high yield requires more nutrients from the soil, more and more applications of fertilizer and specialized chemical treatment most times to attain full potential. Upon harvest the farmer cannot replant the seeds but rush back to the seed companies again and again for more seeds.

Because of high nutrients demand of high yield varieties the farmer continue a cycle of destroying the soil faster through application of fertilizer and eventually finding a new fertile land at more cost... After losing his seeds for a high yield varieties, the farmer still unable to balance the equilibrium of producing versus costs and waste... Most often the high yield seeds are not as palatable as the local ones. The farmers have much to lose, and the food shortage continues without remarkable improvement.

The funniest thing is that the moment our government gets grants from this companies, they rushed home behaving like demons, no evaluation nothing.
What Africa need most is waste management. Africa waste 50% of her food. No matter how much we produce we waste half of it. Government needs start taking food waste serious and not any commercial driven seed companies like Musanto that are keen to take away the liberty and heritage of our forefathers (local seeds).
