If your statement is true. Then you need to worry about a President that speak half-truth and run on people's sympathy then.

He hasn't spoken half truth. What he said is absolutely true if you speak in terms of the external reserves. When your bank balance remains that minimum money you cannot draw from you are already dead broke. And hope you are aware of the amount of deficit they brandished. Just keep cool as events unfold gradually. Most of you will have a change of heart except only tribal bigots.

We will just unlook the fact that Ngozi Okonjo Iweala started borrowing money to pay salaries? or what is this old man trying to say? If NOI started borrowing to pay salaries, doesnt that mean the country was broke or almost broke.

Borrowing to pay salaries not to fund infrastructure development, and someone will come say the country wasnt close to broke.

They keep glossing over the fact that we had an oil boom for a better part of GEJ's tenure. OBJ didnt have this oil boom, but still managed to give Yaradua/GEJ massive savings. Suddenly at the end of an oil boom, we go broke less than a year and there is no tangible infrastructure on ground.

They know all this but they kontinu to give us cock and bull stories. kontinu!

You don't know what you're saying.

Ask those smarter than u. There are different components in foreign reserves. The 30b dollars u quoted does not belong to who u think.

Stop being arrogant and ignorant at d same time.

You and the minister are only trying to be clever by half. Everybody knows the value of external reserves by the time Jonathan was leaving and reasonable people know Buhari made his speech with that amount in mind. Now there's a limit to draw from that reserve and we were already there since months ago if not the FG wouldn't be borrowing to pay salaries before they left. Jonathan and the gang wrecked this country before retiring to Otuoke.

if he met empty treasury, president buhari should tell us how much is in the account.

The workers salary that is not paid are not federal govt workers salary but some reckless state salary.

The the treasury is empty your naira would have nose dive since may 29,because the foriegh reserve contribute in sustaining the strenght of the naira,so buhari is lieing very well.

Una well done.

if the treasury is empty as u and ur cotravellers claimed there would have been a very sharp fall of the naira against the dollar since may 29.

Foriegn reserve is like savings account,a country savings account that guarranty the strenght of any currency, you can as well borrow from it.

Your perfect response here

It will be misleading therefore for our respected President Muhammadu Buhari and indeed the ruling APC to claim to have met an empty treasury.”
He further reminded the new government that “aspiration to governance is a call of meeting and confronting challenges headlong. So, we urge the APC-led government to hit the ground running as promised Nigerians by confronting the challenges.
“We are not in doubt of the capability of Mr. President to do it. He should therefore get to business, put in place structures and personnel to redeem the pledges made to the Nigeria

See ignorance.

Most part of the foreign reserves are cbn assets.

A general rule is for central banks to hold foreign reserves that's equal to 3 months of imports.

I don help u small again. Shey u don sabi d difference between empty treasury, naira exchange rate and foreign reserves.

Obasanjo cleared our debts, yaradua left about 60 billions in our foreign reserves, our economy was stable then ,naira was 100 to 1 dollar. shoeless jonathan came, guess what? corrupion is not stealing, boko haram and bomblast every where, insecurity oil theft continued, lack of respect for democracy and public institutions became perversed, army became partisan, 230 naira to 1dollar, foreign reserves depreciated, left a debt of 7 triillion. jonathan and his cohorts of crimals destroy everything. Yet some babaric uncivilsed religious bigots and tribal idiots are supporting Gej and his acomplices because he is from thier region not minding the atrocities that he had committed. These brainless bigots have to be eliminated so as to aviod their canserous ideology from spread among nigerians.
