Oil price opened at $63 this morning from the $67 it sold two weeks ago. As we speak oil producing nations are diversifying there economy from oil to production of Goods and services in order to export. But in my country nigeria, reverse is the case.

Now, Most of you will agree with me that the jonathan led-government tried her possible best to drive this economy from a single commodity economy to a multi-commodity economy. Jonathan supported the manufacturing sector that made so many big companies moved into nigeria to build plant.

Now what is the justification of the president Buhari led-government to lift the ban on textile and furniture? Now for some persons that still have their brains working will remember that the former president jonathan gave a bail out to the textile industry in 2012. That bail out brought about a change in the textile manufacturing industry that saw that sector employing not less than 250 000 direct staff thereby expanding our GDP.

So what would be the justification of president buhari lifting that ban and try to kill the local textile industry? Because I'm very sure in the next 1week china ships loaded with cheap and fake textile will be heading to Nigeria thereby making industries in china busy and killing Nigeria economy.

Chai someone should tell president bubu that this policy is as old as 1983.

This is the change APC promised.
The wood logging companies in ondo and Ogun, the wood and ply wood processing companies scattered throughout the country from sapele to Aba, Lagos, Ogun kaduna, jos, Abuja will now be downsizing and defaulting on bank loans.
How about youwin winners who got grants to produce furniture, the leather industry that make leather seats, upholstery makers foam manufacturers, mattress makers etc.

I leave APC with this verse of the Bible.
Isaiah 10:1

Woe Betide those who decree unrighteous decree, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed.
To rob the needy of justice and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.

APC will ruin Nigeria if we are not careful. When we are advoÇating for policies that will discourage importaation and encourage local production of commodities, the APC Buhari led government is doing otherwise. How can our economy grow when we keep importing? How can job be created when there is more import than local production company springing up? How can the naira improve when fiscal policies of the government supports import? How can local manufacturers survive when Buhari allows importation to appear more viable for merchants? Buhari what have we done to you?

. . . . . . . . . .minion, I told you never to comment on issues you know nothing about . . . . . . . . . . . .educated illiterate, the lifting of the ban on textiles and furniture is in line with the common external tarrif (CET) for west African nations, which has been in the pipeline for years and was finally launched by the heads of government (including Goodluck Jonathan) of ECOWAS member countries in December 2014 for a start date of 1st January 2015 . . . . . . . . . . . .dullard, Customs is simply implementing a policy that Nigeria is a party to via our membership of ECOWAS which was cemented by Goodluck Jonathan's signature . . . . . . . . . . . . . .lazy online analyst, try reading and understanding about CET before you open your gutter mouth
