Channels Correspondence was refused entrance to the Benue State House of Assembly yesterday.

The Correspondence, Mr. Pius Angbo, says he was initially told by the Press Secretary that the Speaker as not allowed any Journalist entrance to the plenary session because they were yet to set agenda for correspondence activities at the House.

Mr. Pius Angbo however noted that other Journalists were being allowed in while he was refused the covering of the session.
When he challenged the Press Secretary about this, he was simply told the Speaker of the House has not approved his entrance.

It is not yet clear whether the Press Secretary was acting on his own capacity using the name of the Speaker or the directive actually came from the Speaker.

He was told the are yet to set up their agenda.
He should have just walked away.
How are we sure the other journalists were allowed to enter as said by the channels man.
Freedom of speech is a right and in the course of having that freedom, others too have their rights
Channels is a reputable news station as a matter of fact, it is Nigeria's CNN.
I don't think anybody will want channels kicked out from covering their activities as news from them is like hearing from the horses' mouth.
Too early to draw a line as far as this piece is concerned.
