MBA Abroad On Loan Or Fairly Well-paying Job In Nigeria? by Galobito(f): 9:52am On Jun 29, 2015
Hi learned NLs,

I applied for scholarship in one of the UK-based universities to study for my MBA. Fortunately and/or unfortunately, I got only a 50% funded tuition fees, leaving me with 50% plus other expenses, such as accommodation. This could only be funded by loan of about #3.5m as I have no one to sponsor me.

Let me say a little about myself here: I am a 26 years old lady with passion for my career. I lost my dad in my final year at the University, leaving my mum with 5 kids to see through school. I am the 2nd child. We have managed to survive after 5 years of my dad's demise and now I have 2 younger ones left to finish up their 1st Degree.

I currently have a job I love, which pays me 175k per month.

Leaving for my MBA would mean quitting my job and being burdened with a loan, which I hope to repay back as soon as I finish my programme. But I know that I would have greater prospects in my career once I finish my programme.

So wise NLs, I need your candid advice.
