Can you eat your meal without fish or meat?

Give reasons for your answers.

For me, I eat without it.
But, have heard and seen people rejecting food because no fish or meat!

why not?

I think there is a psychological connection to eating meat with every meal. Most people don't feel satisfied until they have eaten the meat which is usually saved for last.

Since when I was younger, I have never placed much importance on meat or fish. My dad used to even get annoyed when meat was mistakenly omitted from his food and I was always thinking "what's the big deal about eating meat with every meal?" I did not understand why he could not eat without the meat and even now I still don't understand.

For me, the food is more important, the meat is just an extra which I can do without. If I really want to eat meat, I buy a large quantity and make 'pepper soup' with it and eat it all day.

I feel very uncomfortable when eating a food without fish or meat... For me its a must have in any delicacy i eat.

if I hear

If i no see two big meat,you better carry your food.
When eating food i see meat as a trophy one has to be rewarded with,
that's why i usually eat it last.

for yam, beans, potatoes, plantain and the rest I won't mind.

but if na stew,rice or soup, I can manage but hmmmm na INCOMPLETE meal be that

lol..my grandma (of blessed memory) would always say anyone who can serve you food without meat is capable of killing you, i totally agree

I even eat biscuit with meat, grilled chicken with goat meat, etc. Food without meat is unnatural. At least make you try boil egg join am na.

i drink tea with biscuit. some times with fried eggs. no fish or meat on it or was that not classified as food

Yes. On many occasions. Mushrooms and Baked& seasoned hard Tofu are healthy & delicious substitutes.

My kid stopped eating rice because of this 'Nigerian must eat meat tradition' , she said her teacher said Nigerians must have superior jaw bone structure than other Nationalities, na so so meat on top every gaddam delicacies

I can. But I love chicken so much. Its usually my motivation to food.

Sometimes,if am d one dat serve myself i wont take meat. Infact, dey don knw me 4 dat. i just wanna knw how it feels on the oda side of life(eating meal without meat).

I hardly eat meat. At a point, I went vegetarian but it wasn't due to absolute care for animals so it didn't last more than a couple of years. I can buy food at an eatery without meat.
