Barring any last minute change in plan, President Muhammadu Buhari will meet members of the two factions in the House of Representatives later today.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, is expected to lead members of his group while Femi Gbajabiamila will also lead lawmakers that are loyal to him to the meeting.

The meeting is expected to hold by 10pm at the First Lady’s Conference Hall inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is the first time Buhari will be meeting any of the leaders of the National Assembly since Dogara and the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, emerged contrary to the choice of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress.

The President may also be meeting Saraki any moment from now.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the scheduled meeting to journalists.

PMB needs to understand that it is unconstitutional for him, the head of the executive arm of government, to meddle in the choice of the leadership of the legislative arm of government.

PMB has once risked contravening the constitution by his pointing out who should not be officers of the legislature, he cannot do it again.

ok, we already know what is going to play out. He will tell Dogara to cede the remaining seats to Gbajabiamila and co, since Dogara didn't succeed in installing his men like SARAKI was. For people that may say what of saraki, There is no need Buhari meeting Saraki since all the leadership positions in the senate have been filled.

This kinda news is one of d reasons why PDP failed. Why not act instead of this news of "...Set to" "...about to" "...concluded plans to" "...ready to" "...propose to"

Deck before Ego.

Saraki and Dogara both placed their ego and personal ambition over Party. Party is supreme and for defying the party, they should be punished. Anything short of this portrays APC and it's leaders as weak. Soon a lot of people will be defying the party.


Their must be consequences.
