President Buhari Finally Meets Dogara

Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of
Representatives, plans to visit President
Muhammadu Buhari at Aso Rock villa on July
1, Wednesday night.
The meeting will hold at the First Lady
Conference Room by 10pm.
There had been speculations that President
Buhari has rejected to see Bukola Saraki,
Senate President, and Dogara after their
repeated defiance of his ruling party All
Progressives Congress (APC).
Saraki and Dogara were elected to the posts
against the wishes of the APC after they went
ahead to contest and win despite being
excluded via a straw poll.
The APC had firstly chosen Senator Ahmed
Lawan andFemi Gbajabiamila as its sole
candidates for the positions.
The National Assembly had been involved in
leadership crisis following their emergence on
June 9.
The development had also stopped the
nomination of other principal officers.
The President may also be meeting Saraki any
moment from now.
