Lest we forget, one of the cardinal presidential campaign promises of President Muhammadu Buhari is the guaranty of the national security of Nigerians by defeating the Boko Haram terrorists. And this promise made majority of Nigerians to support and vote for him in the 2015 presidential election on March 28, because they expected him to succeed where former President Goodluck Jonathan failed, in national security. But since President Buhari was sworn in on May 29, he has not shown any positive indication of having the military intelligence and capacity to tackle the Boko Haram insurgents as a former military general who often reminded us of how he successfully dealt with similar terrorists in the past and defeated them even before he became a military Head of State from 1983 to 1985. He has not even been honest and transparent on the present realities in the war against Boko Haram. He has resorted to begging the question of national insecurity instead of having a solution to the problem. If President Muhammadu Buhari fails to confront and defeat Boko Haram before 2016, he should resign, because Nigerian voters did not elect him to make excuses or ask for negotiations with Boko Haram terrorists, but to defeat them as he promised. And he should not expect Nigerians to wait for him to watch as more innocent Nigerian men, women and children are massacred every week by Boko Haram terrorists in suicide bomb attacks. A political leader who cannot keep his promises, is not worthy of leadership.

RUBBISH Buhari is Nigeria's president and shall not be bullied by ANYBODY into a premature resignation. He shall complete at least his first tenure in office by 2019 by which time Nigerians will choose of they still want him in power or not
