xtervaganza: Has your laptop suddenly become slow? Or has your usage actually become high? Please provide more info about your laptop's system specification - Operating system, physical RAM, HDD size, etc. |

xtervaganza: Ok, start by verifying that your laptop's system resources are not being hogged by a particular process. Do the following: Right click on the task-bar and choose task manager. Click the performance tab and see the percent of CPU and Physical memory in use. |

Try using CCleaner program in order to clean up your computer which will speed it up. Download here, it is the latest version of the program (5.07.5261) which supports up to Windows 10 OS. I strongly recommend that you have this software on your computer and use it periodically. In that case you will keep it clean and fast for longer |
