Is Apc Loosing It's Midas Touch? by Logicalsoul(m): 8:26am On Jul 06, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (Apc) rise to power is not a mystery but a calculated move in usurping Pdp. Apc's victory without being biased would be attributed to two major champions. The incorruptible and disciplinarian General Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu. Their participation in ensuring victory was not on stealth mode unlike some Apc bigwigs who were busy playing double cards, hoping for a favorable haven if eventually Apc looses it's presidential election.
The face off between some Apc bigwigs and Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu if not properly handled would not only be catastrophic but devastating. it is no doubt the battle ground for the just concluded 2015 general election was South West Nigeria, where Asiwaju is not only revered but has tentacles spread almost all south western States. Some northern politicians are appaled by the fact that Asiwaju is not only gaining recognition for his brutal role in ensuring victory for Apc in the south west but is waxing stronger politically.
Pop's loss would be attributed to negligence of party's constitution. In as much as his Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was mostly responsible for the downfall of Pdp because of his perceived weak and lackadaisical approach to national issues. No man is above party constitution, yet the change chanter are the ones derailing from party directives because of selfish interest.
Pdp is like a wounded lion, taking its time to heal its wound and patiently waiting to pounce on its next victim. If Apc fails to organize and control it's party members I wonder what magic would be required to effect the Change that has been shoved down our throat as the only cure for our ailments..
Nigerians are watching, taking notes of daily events.
I still strongly believe PMB will not fail, i sincerely hope so.

OP I personally do not have much interest in APC as a political party for now, my immediate interest is in Buhari as a person and the non re-emergence of PDP to the presidency in the nearest future till it is fully reformed, so that Nigerians can experience democracy on a meritorious and progressive note.

Now if you observe closely, some of us who actively supported Buhari's presidency have focused our efforts on more important issues than making noise online. Buhari is going to deliver on his campaign promises. If you have an inkling to what Buhari is packaging for Nigerians especially the youths, you won't be so impatient. Do you think Buhari is so mean or clueless not to understand that it was the youths who brought him to office? Do you think he doesn't really know what he's doing by leaving his party to clean itself up and eject the bad blood within itself?

Make no mistake about it, the APC will undergo more serious challenges, PDP itself will not be left out in this Drama because one party's success is another party's headache, but Buhari will be judged by his achievements in office. There are core Buharists within the APC who are in the majority and believe in him, and there are those who are riding on his popularity to achieve their selfish interests as politicians. Buhari spent most of his youthful days serving his country and fighting to protect its sovereignty. At 72, he has no interest undermining all he has worked for, his priority now is to ensure that he can at least see a more prosperous Nigeria in the hands of the New Generation.

Let the noise makers keep making noise, they will all be silenced once he starts rolling out his Programmes for the Nigerian youths who are his priority. We endured 5yrs of impunity of the previous government, we can be patient for a few months so that he can at least position the government in a better state to fully deliver his promises to Nigerians. With the current state of the government and economy, he will probably fail again if he starts dolling out projects without ensuring there are checks and balances that will ensure the projects are not hijacked like they have always been with previous governments.

We all believe in justice, equity and merit, that will not happen if the new government starts working with the old flawed system. Let's give this Change a chance so we can witness real transformation. God Bless!

Which Midas touch? The propaganda machine lasts only after elections, it follows no one through governance. Now those who voted Buhari have seen it with their eyes... President of West Germany.

I agree with you to some extent, Buhari's personality was a major factor in Apc's triumph. But selfish, power hungry politicians might derail the good vision PMB for Nigeria..Apc needs to curb the excesses of some politicians. Nigeria should be above their self interest...
I still believe it's too late to judge PMB now,but if he does not tread carefully he might be seen as the wrong agent of change, rather the acclaimed messiah we all clamour for

Pdp employed propaganda not Apc,
Nobody is regretting voting PMB, we are only concerned about some power hungry politicians trying to hijack the great party..

Speak for yourself; some people are regretting already. If a few politicians can trap him this long, how then does he hope to handle the more complex task of governing Nigeria?

He does not want to meddle in national assembly affairs, that's why they have leadership...
There are more complex issues to be addressed.
Nobody has trapped him,he is taking his time.
Hot beans is eaten with caution.

I am not here to sing praises or condemn anyone. But critical and logical reasonings would help in tackling our numerous challenges..
Criticism alone won't help,if we could offer solutions instead of tongue lashing this administration would go a long way in shaping our dear country..
