TIME TO THINK. With ethnocentric avowals denominating every debate we shall fail. Every great nation rose from the ashes of its in- equities and injustices through the committed passion and drive of Patriots. Federalists and Statesmen rose and challenged the present into a future of freedom, we do not need ethnocentrists who dwell on the TRIBAL/RELIGIOUS prejudices that makes our tomorrow appear bleak, may we consign our loyalty to our divides to the past, this WE must for a prosperous Nigeria to be made true. Had the African Americans dwelt so deeply on the Era of nullification, interposition and brash racism the world would not have an Obama as the US President rather we would have had a plethora of Activists and Historians talking about Jim Crow segregation laws and the many segregationists who held the blacks down and how they did. My one pence, now that change is here, we must make the best of the moment. We MUST outline our focus and refuse to be emotionally and emotively driven by variegated views centred on the dichotomy of creed and clan, predicated on the north/ south divide and or hinged on the Muslim/ Christian bias. And like America shut through the fog of racism and South Africa through the haze of apartheid, Nigeria shall forge a harmony predicated on fairness and justice. I BELIEVE. God Bless Nigeria. |

And like America shutApples and Oranges. In America, the whites that dominate the country are educated, intelligent and even if they are not being fair to everybody, makes sure that basic amenities are available, which is why the country is a FIRST WORLD country. The same applied in SA; in fact SA was better under white rule than now. In Nigeria, Hausa/Fulani believes that only they MUST rule, but they REFUSE TO GO SCHOOL. They refuse western modes of skills acquisition and business. They produce the highest rates of backwardness in terms of human development, and are always last in human development indices in Nigeria irrespective of subsidies. Yet, they kill when not allowed to rule over others that are far more developed in terms of human development, and basically hold everybody hostage. And guess what, this is their RELIGION. So how can Nigeria EVER develop? Nigeria's destiny (no matter how long this takes) is disintegration. FULLSTOP. |
