Sometimes in our busy lives, we forget to pay attention to several things that are important for our individual lives and that of our families. In the chaotic bustle of our daily lives, we forget to celebrate the roles played by our cultural heritage in our daily achievements. That is why Tjoe Group created ‘ORIENT-ATION’, an exclusive Igbo award event.

Igbos are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa. They are known to be enterprising and commerce-driven. They possess a richly unique culture that commands fascinating attention from other tribes. The Igbos possess a very rare survival instinct, laced with individual brilliance, talents, and flexible efforts toward economic gains.

The Igbo language also gives them a unique ethnic identity- a language spoken around the world but largely in Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi Delta and Rivers states of Nigeria.



Presently, of the three key languages in Nigeria, Igbo language is threatened by extinction. The UNESCO report on endangered indigenous languages says the Igbo language faces risk of possible extinction in the next 50 years if nothing is done to revive the language.
A lot of our families do not speak Igbo to our children. This is perharps an overzealous effort in achieving excellence in academic English. We in Tjoe Group refer to this as an ‘overzealous effort to acquire our kindred spirit of excellence’.



ORIENT-ATION is our unique solution to reviving Igbo language and the culturally indigenous spirit of hardwork and excellence. ORIENT-ATION is an exclusive awards event which will orientate Igbos on these pertinent issues while recognizing and celebrating the Igbo people and their contribution to the society. ORIENT-ATION will celebrate the contribution of the Igbo man to Igboland, Nigeria, Africa and the entire world.
Our aims of embarking on this project are to recognize, promote and encourage excellence, consequently impacting our great country Nigeria positively.
ORIENT-ATION will consist of:

-Advisory speeches/Seminars /Talk shops. These will be bootcamp sessions led by Igbo scholars and prominent Igbo achievers from different works of life.

-Igbo kiddies poetry contest and cultural display.

-Pre Event Concert on the eve to the award ceremony

-The Award Ceremony and an after party.



All events will be hosted in September in Enugu at a prime facility that will admit, accommodate and seat thousands of people.
