In a statement that reads on Juventus official website on Monday, says:

"Massimiliano Allegri has today extended his contract by a further year, keeping him with the club until 30 June 2017."

Allegri won the Scuddeto and Copa Italia title last season and also guided Juventus to the Champions League final inwhich they lost 3 - 1 to FC Barcelona.

The 47-year-old will remain at Turin until June 30, 2017.

According to Juventus.com, Andrea Agnelli - the clubs president expressed his delight over Allegri’s decision to prolong his stay with Juve.

"Allegri is our leader and has enjoyed an extraordinary first season at the helm, taking the team on to another level", said Andrea Agnelli
