I know 80% of nairalanders are computer guru, and i also know that you already know the window shortcut keys. But i bet it with you that you dont know it all. There are some that are on this short list that you haven't come across. Let start !!!

GENERAL WINDOW KEYS

F1 => Help
ALT+F4 => Quit a program
SHIFT+F10 => View the shortcut for selected item
CTRL+ESC => Display the start menu
ALT+TAB => Switch to window you used last or switch to next window by pressing ALT while repeatedly pressing TAB
CTRL+X => Cut
CTRL+C => Copy
CTRL+V => Paste
DEL => Delete
CTRL+Z => Undo
HOLD SHIFT WHEN INSERTING DISC => Bypass CD-ROM auto-play

FOR THE DESKTOP,MY COMPUTER, AND WINDOWS EXPLORER

When an item is selected,you can use the following shortcut keys:
F2 => Rename
F3 => Find a file or folder
SHIFT+DEL => Permanent deleting of file (without storing a copy in the recycle bin)
ALT+ENTER or ALT+DOUBLE CLICK => View item properties
CTRL KEY WHILE DRAGGING A FILE => Copy a file
CTRL+SHIFT WHILE DRAGGING A FILE => Create a shortcut

FOR MY COMPUTER AND WINDOWS EXPLORER

CTRL+A => Select all
F5 => Refresh window
BACKSPACE => View the folder ond level up (the last folder before your current folder)
SHIFT WHILE CLICKING CLOSE BUTTON => Close the selected folder and all it's parent folders
F6 => Switch betweem the left and right panes


FOR WINDOW EXPLORER ONLY

CTRL+G => Goto
NUMLOCK+ASTERIK => Expand all subfolders under the selected folder
NUMLOCK+PLUS SIGN => Expand the selected folder
NUMLOCK+MINUS SIGN => Collapse the selected folder
F6 => Switch between left and right panes

FOR PROPERTIES DIALOG BOXES

TAB => Move forward through options
SHIFT+TAB => Move backward through options
CTRL+TAB => Move forward through tab
CTRL+SHIFT+TAB => Move backward through tab

ACCESSIBILITY OPTION SHORTCUT KEYS

Note: shortcut keys must be enabled

SHIFT 5 TIMES => Toggle stickykeys on and off
RIGHT SHIFT FOR 8 SECONDS => Toggle filterkeys on and off
NUMLOCK FOR 5 SECONDS => Toggle togglekeys on and off
LEFT ALT+LEFT SHIFT+NUMLOCK => Toggle mousekeys on and off
LEFT ALT+LEFT SHIFT+PRINTSCREEN => Toggle high contrast on and off.
