with his talent, singing.

Narrating how he found himself in the music
sphere, the talented artiste said he was chosen
by God to bless people with his melodious voice
stressing that music was not a deliberate
decision he made to do.

“I didn’t choose music, rather I’ll say God
choose me, raised me, gave me a message with
melody and sent me to let it out, and I have
found out that in doing that, so many lives are
blessed and transformed everywhere I go to
minister.”

Jefe who described himself as an RnB gospel
singer also takes pride in his ability to do
songs that cut across every genre of music. “I do
not only sing, I rap and do anything
imaginable in music to communicate God’s
message.”

However, the multifaceted entertainer said he
doesn’t sing just for the fun of it, he
distinguished himself from the heavy usage of
vulgar language, which is predominant
among artistes in the country saying his own
content is inspired by the spirit of God.

He however acknowledged that he enjoys the
songs of Joe Praise, saying he connects with
Praise’s songs because he’s unique and
anointed.
“I hear songs in my spirit in strange places,
sometimes at the bank, airport, park, church,
even in my dream and then I wake up and
write down the lyrics and record the melody.

He noted
What is the artiste’s favourite song among his
works so far? Jefe answered, “All my songs are
good, but my current single titled “IGBUNU” in
the Urhobo parlance which means extra
ordinary miracle is mind sizzling. “ Cause
everytime I minister the song it provokes the
presence of God mightily, faith for the
miraculous is inspired. Everyone that has seen
the video and heard the song testified on the
impact and effect It has on them. Listen to the
song, Igbunu

Igbunu is not the conventional day to day
song you always hear, it’s an epic song that
transcends genre, language, tribe and style
that any mind can easily relate with. It has a
touch of African and western delivery (A must
watch video and a must hear audio). The vocal
dexterity and instrumentation is second to
none, produced by Gospel finest kelly lyon.” He
explained.

Remembering how he gathered the needed
experience that prepared him for the stage, the
gifted artiste who never denied that there are
challenges in the music industry for starters
however said he found music more appreciable
after working with top hands in the industry.

“I won’t forget the impact gospel celebrity
producer, Kelly Lyon made in my life. I had an
awesome experience with him. He gives perfect
interpretation to every idea and working
closely with him over the years has made
music something more appreciable.” He noted.
For his love for music, the gifted artiste who
opted for music after studying Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Benin, said
he’ll pick the profession thousand times if
asked to choose another career. “To me, Music
is not a hobby; it’s my life’s call. It is an
avenue to display my talent and skill and an
opportunity to fulfill purpose.”

In order for music to yield profit to
stakeholders especially with industry seeing
new talents popping up timelessly, Jefe advised
that the government should create the enabling
laws needed in the creative industry to aid
and safeguard artistes from piracy.
