Buhari Has A Lot Up His Sleeves by MrPristine: 4:08pm On Jul 11, 2015 |
A lot of us have been impatient with the incumbent govt as we get the impression that nothing is being done. On the contrary i gathered on good authority from various sources that there is a lot of work going on under ground. Right now in Abuja there is an army of forensic accountants sifting through the books of most government ministries and agencies. The DSS, EFCC and ICPC are all working round the clock investigating various past and present government officials and even their private sector counterparts. Even the chief executives of the major oil companies have been made to face various drilling exercises. So far from what has been discovered the rot in the system stinks to high heavens and the amounts involved in the sleaze are really mind boggling and insider even told me that it would be a disservice to this country if Buhari does not make sure Jonathan ends up in Jail because of glaring evidence of direct stealing from the treasury by him that has now been uncovered. The cases are numerous and we are really in for some interesting times ahead but the good news is that every body has now sat up and they are now alive to their responsibilities. Also without any deliberate effort or policy on the part of the incumbent govt our foreign reserves rose by almost $3 billion(despite a drop in oil prices) in one month just because people are now afraid to spend govt money recklessly. I now wonder by how much it would rise when loop holes through which we loose 50% of our federal revenues are blocked. As i said earlier, we have interesting times ahead, let me just grab my coke and pop corn and kontinu watching. 2 Likes 1 Share |

baralatie:1. many public offices are becoming more careful the way they operate especially as regards handling public money or how do you explain d unprecedented $3b plus saved from Tax alone within a month n even wen our oil price is at d lowest? Isn't transparency under PMB is what eminent Nigerians like d DG of NLGN Omotowa are alluding being responsible for this gain? 2. our security men are morally boosted than before n are more proactive ,n collection of N20 is dying like' play, play.' 3. the sedated anti corruption lion under GEJ did,EFCC, is now waking n about roaring loud for all to hear. 4. D international community are giving us fresh support to overcome insecurity 5. it is like law n d constitution shall be instutionalised or how do you explain PMB non interference in hastily arresting n prosecuting electoral theives n rogues parading as state executive in Ekiti,Rivers etc. 2 Likes |

Babacele:Everything you have listed is from .Gej administration You never knew of taxation till now but it was on for real, the previous govts' I have been working on cleaning up Nigeria's image and Gej has been screaming for support for Nigeria against b.h.and when if is about constitution a beg don't kill PMB.what i want PMB is 1,pmb pushed interest rate lower from so to so 2.pmb reduced into. Debt from so to so 3.electoral act is now so and so At least we have it on record according to CBN,external reserves increas end marginally giving strength to the naira. |

baralatie:1. It is a lie from hell that GEJ saved money which PMB is spending. Then y cldnt GEJ pay salaries?rather GEJ messed d accounts up but for PMB's discipline, which is now yielding beautiful readily within 30 days. 2. All other questions u raised are irrelevant now since ds government is a month old n not 6 years like d clueless team's. |

Babacele:Truth is bitter, how do you spend billions from an empty account! How do you run build a house with no foundation. It is impossible for any meaniful growth by this current administration if it does not acknowledge the fact that previous administration have put in very impactful strategies, policies, structures and achievements for the betterment of Nigeria. It is not for this administration to make or continue its propaganda against Nigeria's progress and achievements.in continuing that course of propanganda it literarily destroys its own course. But yet at the end the entity and the destiny of Nigeria will supercede and overpower the propaganda theory against it. |

Jagoon:I want you to be specific 1.what was existing before 1999 during the military era 2.what was now obtainable during 2001-2007 3.what was obtainable in 2007-2009 4what was obtainable in 2010-2015 in terms of i,financial infrastructure and institutions ii,electoral reforms ii,foreign and local debt status iv,telecommunications v,foreign direct investments vi,local content in oil and gas vii, electrical reforms and power generation Viii, road infrastructure rehabilitation and development If one is not BIASED Nigeria as a state and and economy among to those parameters listed above has developed and its way,way ahead .neither of any of the administrations have exhibited backwardness in any form. And especially in the GEJ administration the stride and accomplishments are literarily positive outlook for Nigeria in all aspects. The only issue that stares Nigeria in the face is the concept of anti govt campaigns by the APC by use of propaganda.now it is in govt and it is finding out that the propaganda against Then govt and anti govt slogans were directly and literarily against Nigeria and the very keys to sustainable growth of what was achieved over time it has negatively used media to bastardize. Wether anyone likes it or not the last administration (GEJ) has put Nigeria in a very solid path.it is either this administration calms itself down, get to work and push for growth, building on where the last administration or Continue the propaganda of blaming Gej where there is no blame But use the media to continue blame in any case.only to achieve very minimal achievements and still blame saraki and dogara. |

baralatie: Gej inherited $60 billion in foreign reserves and depleted it to $29 billion, he inherited $22 billion in excess crude account he depleted it to $2 billion, our national debt was 3 trillion naira when he came in and by the time he left our debt had multiplied to 12 trillion and all this was when oil price was the highest in global history. To make matters worse gej has nothing to show for this monumental frittering away of our national resources other than several brief case billionaires he created for doing absolutely nothing other than partaking in the looting of our national resources. 1 Like |

baralatie:Bros, the most injurious n painful damage a man can do to himself, family n generation is to self -deceit especially in the face of glaring public evidence. Unless you live on lies and don't care about your reputation , then you can flow with the PDP false n empty grandstanding that has been punctured with facts n events as regards the PMB bailout being from GEJ's 'savings'- whatever that nonsense means. please read excerpts from Today's Premium Times interview n be educated . You don't this constipated miseducation from PDP - the enemy of Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on the Federal Government to urgently unravel what happened to the past Company Income Tax / Education Tax as well as dividends paid to the Nigerian government by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG, against the background of published reports that the funds were never paid into the Federation Account as they should have been. In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party also described as a glaring example of grandstanding opposition the attempt by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to distort the facts about the source of the $2.1 billion that was approved for sharing by the three tiers of government by President Muhammadu Buhari. ”Whereas the Presidency corrected the initial erroneous report that the shared money was sourced from the Excess Crude Account (ECA), the skittish opposition continued to insist it was from the ECA and that it was part of the ‘savings’ by the Jonathan Administration. ”Well, we can tell Nigerians that the $2.1 billion was sourced from the $1.6 billion Company Income Tax/Education Tax paid to the FG on June 17th 2015, over two weeks after the Jonathan Administration left office, as well as the $500 million tax paid by Shell. We can tell Nigerians that this is the first time the payment of the Income Tax/Education Tax by the NLNG was being disclosed by any government, in addition to paying it into the Federation Account for sharing, hence those who call it their ‘legitimate’ earnings should be asked why they did not demand the sharing of such ‘legitimate’ earnings in the past. ”We can tell Nigerians that |

Jagoon:This why I said "if people are not biased in their arguments when it comes to national economy!". Now I want you to put your facts in the following order since you want to talk about financial situation Nigeria situation Year . Ext. Debt . Dom. Debt. Serv . 1999 2003 2007 2010 2015 now can furnish us wwith the ffg 1.1999 -2003 total compressed budget 2.2003-2007 " . " 3.2007-2009 ." . " 4.2010-2015 total compressed budget It is when you can do this that you will trully see that Nigeria has moooooved waaaay ahead in terms of growth and economic policy..the gej administration placed Nigeria on a very strong platform economically. You don't analyse A nations economic growth and development like oshiomole.you will be messed up by the developed nations.the U.S and its allies knew the growth in the economy(very, very sustainable financial growth). If you choose to believe that nothing was done in terms of infrastructure rehab and developments.it is called nonchallancy.even if you don't travel by air you travel by road.if even you don't read paper you will hear about light.if you even choose not to eat chicken you will hear of cassava.obaaanjo cannot say he did not work. Gej work very well alongside his economic team and deliver Nigeria financially, politically and regionally on a very strong platform! APC has a choice either continue with its propaganda and do little or forget its propaganda and start working! |
