President Muhammadu Buhari will only receive 50% of the salary paid to his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, the presidency announced some days back.
The president’s decision to take a pay cut was conveyed to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Nebolisa Emodi.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has similarly given up half of his official remuneration, Aso Rock confirmed in a statement signed by a presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu.
The current annual remuneration of the President of Nigeria as published by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission is N14, 058,820.00. This we know and is a good step.

But recently a nairalander took to twitter to err his views on the recent decision taken by the president and I and most nigerians actually agree and support his statement . Thiis tweet below was directed to the presidents official twitter handle and I hope he gets to see them and maybe act on them if he is willing.
Maybe we should just keep retwitting it till it makes some headlines out there. Or what do you think?
