Cross river state of Nigeria can be arguably regarded as the most dynamic of all the states in the country, this dynamism is being portrayed by the richness in its culture, a uniform attitude of hospitality and welcoming nature of it’s beautiful people, as part of this dynamism is also the gift of nature the state is blessed with. Cross river state is located at the south easternmost part of the country, its neighbours are Ebonyi and Abia to the West, Benue to the North, Cameroon to the East and the Akwa Ibom/ Atlantic ocean to the south.
The most prominent language is the Efik language, spoken by the Efik people who are predominantly located in Calabar, the capital, albeit some of them are found in Odukpani and as far as Biase. The Ejagham people are also one of the ethnic groups found in the state, these people also known as the Ekoi people are located around Ugep, Ikom, Boki, Ishibori(Ogoja) and other adjoining villages in these areas.
