A year after Manchester United splashed out £59.7 million (€85m) to make him the most expensive player in the history of British football, Angel Di Maria’s Old Trafford career could be over.

Goal understands Di Maria’s agent, Jorge Mendes, travelled to France on Tuesday to meet with senior officials from Paris Saint-Germain and discuss the possibility of the winger joining the Ligue 1 champions.

PSG were in the hunt to sign Di Maria last summer, only for Financial Fair Play (FFP) sanctions handed down by Uefa to prevent them from competing with United’s offer for the out-of-favour Real Madrid star.
