Manchester City signing Raheem Sterling should have been a joyous occasion for the club.


Nicking one of English football's most talented players from a potential rival should have been cause for City to sit back in an absurdly expensive leather chair and smugly sneer at the rest of the Premier League.

However, the announcement of the signing didn't quite work out that way.

First, there was the (extensive) mockery of the £49m fee. Then there was the fact their website couldn't handle the pressure. And then there was this absolute clanger on their official Twitter feed.
