The PSL is closing in on a television deal with Worldwide broadcasting companies ESPN and Eurosport.

The Siya crew contacted Peter Mancer to ask what the status of the deal was. "We are still in discussions on various levels," explained Mancer. "However, the parties are very interested. The wanted to be sure that the product was 100% and it is a 100%."

The crew then asked when the potential deals would kick in. "They would start for the beginning of next season," continued Mancer. "They will include a certain amount of games, PSL shows and highlight packages."

Orlando Pirates will face Swedish club Helsingborg today in a friendly match in Johannesburg. The Scandinavian team, that includes famous striker Henrik Larsson, will take on the in form South African team in a game that is expected to begin at 4 p.m. at Pirates training facilities.

It is unlikely that Rudi Krol will field a full strength squad given that they have played top sides Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United in the past six days.

However, it will be a chance for Krol to look at some of his reserves in a highly competitive setting. Krol did not make any substitutes in the last match against SuperSport, so he will have options for his starting eleven.
