Government technical college Enugu......

Electrical Department year one(1).... a class of over two hundred and seventeen(217) students who stay under one small roof which is called a classroom to study.

How do you expect them to learn when the atmosphere is not even conducive? Some part of the class is leaking in rainy season and in dry season, the class turns into an oven because there is no ceiling to absorb the heat that comes from the hot zinc.

During exams, few gets seated while the rest are meant to seat on the ground cos of inadequate facilities to accommodate all of them.

This applies to almost all classes......when I was posted to the school last year august as a corp member, the principal told us that the school will admit over 5,000 jss1 students.... now calculate the number of students in the school.

Their hostel is nothing to talk about....
Cos even the students eats twice daily. Leaking roofs and all sorts of disgusting environment which is not suitable for human habitation.
Same as their corpers lodges....

There are many of them, its not just the southeast, and they are mostly public schools.

I was checking out mark sheets of their students and seriously, public edu esp at sec nd pri level needs serious intervention.

They're churning out chaff.

Now my questions are?

Have this stopped South East from taking number 1 to 5 positions in both Waec, neco, Gce and Jamb?

Also, your region that uses a/c and computer rooms to read, study and teach , where are they in all the academic activities?
