I think most of the allegations against Lamido and his sons centered more on kickbacks they collected in awarding contracts. To some of you who who are typing out of ignorance, pitch Lamido against most, if not all the past Northern governors and he will be the best among them by a millions of miles.

Lamido worked...this man transformed Jigawa state. And to an average man or woman from that state, this case is all the more baffling. Accuse him and take him to court a million times and thousands of people will still troop out to welcome him. The EFCC should leave Lamido alone and go after all the past Northern governors that stole and dared us to do our worst. When they are done and have become bored, they can then come after Lamido.

Former Govs of Niger, Plateau, Benue, Kaduna, Katsina, Bauchi etc. should be rounded up ASAP!

But that does not excuse the fact he took kickbacks.

And yeah...he built nice buildings? How innovative did he leave the state's economy? Has education improved in Jigawa's rural areas ?

Nigeria deserve the kind of corrupt leaders they have! Imagine people celebrating corruptions.

What of Dimeji Bankole, Ibori, Bode George etc? Most people are not entirely against corruption if their person does it or they even get just some crumbs from his table. And the constant tribal and sectarian prejudices are easily exploited by the corrupt to claim witch hunt or handiwork of political enemies and the gullible masses fall for it. We are too diverse for our own good. Our diversity means there's too much mutual suspicion that is exploited shamelessly
