Abuja - The new acting Army Chief of Staff, Maj-Gen,
Tukur Burutai, will be heading to Yobe State to celebrate
his appointment with troops fighting Boko Haram, Punch
reported.
Burutai met behind closed doors with President
Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja,
where he was told of what is expected of him in the
appointment.
The Army chief expressed that it is only fair he celebrates
Sallah with the troops.
His appointment was approved earlier in the week by
Buhari, together with the National Security advisor for the
country.
Burutai was the Commander of the Multinational Joint
Task Force before his appointment.
