Unpaid Salaries: Oyedebo Sends Food To Osun by Nobody: 12:07pm On Jul 18, 2015
This announcement was made by state pastor of
LFCW, Olumuyiwa Emmanuel, on Wednesday
July 15 at a mid-week service of the church in
Osogbo.
Emmanuel said the donated food includes rice,
tomato paste, vegetable oil and others will be
distributed to church members and other
residents of the state who are facing difficulty
following months of unpaid salaries. He added
that food will be distributed on Sunday July 19
after service.
Emmanuel said:“ I am happy to announce to you
that trailer load of rice, vegetable oil, tomato and
other things sent by the bishop have arrived.
The distribution will be done on Sunday.
“Invite your friends and neighbours, Christians
and non Christians; everybody will be taken care
of. We are blessed to be a blessing unto others.
Bring people who need the food, young and old,
all of them will be catered for. We have more
than enough for everybody.”
Meanwhile, Oyedepo while speaking in Omu-
Aran, Kwara State on Friday during the second
convocation ceremony of Landmark University,
frowned at the inability of Nigeria to achieve
national food security.
He urged the country to take a clue from India,
Malaysia and China who have all recorded
economic transformation as result of their
successful agricultural revolution.
The cleric added that these countries first
conquered hunger before they moved to high
tech industrial revolution.
It will be recalled that Christian Association of
Nigeria in Osun state had last month appealed to
church leaders and others to donate food and
other items to the state workers who have been
facing difficulty following several months of
salaries owed them by the state government.
