Congratulations! Why am I congratulating you? It is simply because, today, you will learn something new here. Which means, you get a step higher compared to those your friends, neighbors, and colleagues, who haven't known what you will know here.

I know this is a discussion about dogs, thus, should have being in the pets section. Nevertheless, I intentionally put it here in the education section because I want everyone to learn.

So, let's learn: Four Things Many People Don't Know About Dogs.

1. Dogs have twice as many muscles for moving their ears as people!!

Have you ever seen someone wiggle one ear? How about both at the same time? Ear movement is common in many mammals,
including cats, dogs and horses, and usually serves to swivel the ear towards the direction of a sound. A group of muscles called the 'auriculares' are responsible for this movement. This group includes: 'the auricularis anterior' (which draws the ear up and forward); 'the
auricularis superior' (which raises it); and the
'auricularis posterior' (which pulls it backwards)

However, Dogs use these ear muscles to display over 100
different facial expressions!!! These
extraordinary ears also help dogs to hear sounds at four times the distance that humans can. That is superb!!!

2. Eyes Bigger Than Stomach.

When the stomach capacity of a blue whale can reach
200 gallons, so big that it needs about 2,200 pounds of krill (a small shrimp-like planktonic crustacean of the open seas) to fill it, A small breed dog’s stomach is the size of a walnut!!(do your research!)

3. Number of teeth.

Many people don't know this. But now you will. An adult dog has 42 teeth!!!

Note: If you have a dog, their teeth require specific care. It’s also important to try to brush their teeth regularly with specialised products and have annual dental check-ups

4. How Long Do They Live?

The dog’s average life expectancy is 8 to 15 years.

If you have a dog and you want to maintain their health and well-being so they can stay long with you, make sure you visit a vet for regular check-ups even when they’re healthy.

Hope you learn something new today. Thanks.
