The fight of many
How bittersweet is it to live in the land of many tribes
People of different views and ambitions
That sees things in different ways
Fighting the fight if fighters
Killing innocent souls that do not deserve death
The hopes of the commoners that have no tomorrow
No say in the land
Where every tribe wants to get to the top
Living in anarchy democracy
A fight that do not end with a generation
A fight that have killed some of our icons and future leaders
And still not ready for an end
When will our sorrow turn to joy?
When will people of different tribes come to know that we are one?
When will the fight left for the fighters to fight?
The fight of many
When will it end?
. . . . . . . .This is for my generation. When will the fight of ethnicity end? Or are we going to allow it to get to our generation? It’s unraveling and the memories and stories heard of the civil war are not a pleasant one. . . . . . . .
How sweet to leave the earth bound body in the mud
And rise towards the music of our country NIGERIA
Descending soft with wind
And the tender glow of the fading sun
