Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger is considering a shock deal to sign Edin Dzeko from Manchester City, according to reports reaching me from a source within Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are looking for a word class striker to fill their exulted No.9 shirt, and have been linked with Karim Benzema and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, with both of those players looking hard to sign, the Daily Star says Arsenal have turned their attention to signing Dzeko.

The 29-year-old is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and has been told he can leave City this summer for the right price.

Roma are also keen on Dzeko, but he would likely prefer to stay in England and play for Arsenal.
