Comedians who attempt to further their own
careers by pranking unsuspecting celebrities are
often bigger twats than those they seek to
ridicule. That logic does not apply to Lee Nelson
– real name Simon Brodkin – who managed to
gain access to a Sepp Blatter press conference
in Zurich and make a mockery of Blatter’s
attempts to once again blow his own trumpet.

He steps forward to the dais where
Blatter is sitting and tries to present
him with a wad of banknotes.
Nelson says: “Sepp, this is for North
Korea in 2026″ before Blatter
summons security guards to
intervene.
As Nelson is being led away, he
throws the notes in the air, which fall
around a visibly furious Blatter
before he gets up and walks out of
the room. Nelson then issues a
parting shot at Blatter, saying:
“Cheers, Sepp – it’s all there”.
We always have time for anyone who takes the
mickey out of Blatter so it’s a ‘well played sir’
from our side.
