If the ministry of women affairs or ministry of youth development are working properly we wouldn't see these issues so often. After a careful survey, I realized these are girls who got pregnant, realizing the stigma of it all and not wanting to be married off to an old man, decides to have the child, give the baby up for adoption and continue with their studies.

The fact is that bearing children out side marriage is like a toboo in Igbo land,the stigma that goes with it is unbearable for most girls. Those that fear abortion will instead run away to bear the child with out their relations and friends being aware. Same is applicable to some minorities. It is always out of mistake not purposely to make money. Because they can even give such kids away free but the they usually give them money to justify collecting the kids from them and thereafter make huge sums from couples looking for kids. This is really the reality Igbo should look into. It's not prevalent in other regions because they easily welcome unwanted pregnancies .
