At least eight people were killed in an accident which occurred along Ilesa/Akure express road, Ilaramokin. According to an eye witness, the accident occurred when the driver of a lorry loaded with cement, coming from Akure lost control and rammed into a Toyota Sienna bus coming from Lagos, heading to Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State.

All the eight passengers in the Sienna bus, including the driver identified as Sunday Efo, it was gathered, died instantly, while the driver of the lorry sustained serious injuries. It was learnt that the remains of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of a government hospital in the state. The state commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) could not be reached for his reaction as at the time of filing this report.
