They spend most of the year cruising through the streets of Kuwait or sitting outside lavish mansions in Dubai.

But, judging by the boom in Lamborghinis and Ferraris on the streets of London, it appears the Middle Eastern playboys are well and truly back in town with their outrageous supercars. And it seems the bright colours, souped-up wheels and hefty price tags attached to the vehicles have managed to catch the eye of traffic wardens - with at least three earning a parking ticket.

The Bugatti Veyron landed the fine while parked in a restricted zone outside Harrods, where many of the supercars are found. But, with the car worth up to £1m, it's unlikely the £130 fine will be much of a deterrent for the wealthy owner - who can return to their home countries without fear of being chased by authorities.

The July arrival of the expensive Arab-owned supercars has become an annual event in the capital as rich Qataris, Saudis, Emiratis and Kuwaitis move to Britain following the end of Ramadan to escape the baking mid-summer months.

But, as these pictures show, many of the cars rarely get out of the London - and spend much of the time parked outside luxury shops, five-star hotels and other exclusive streets around the wealthy Knightsbridge and Kensington district.

One of the most outlandish cars to make the trip over this time around is the yellow LaFerrari, the £1million sportscar which has a top speed of 220mph. Among the other supercars spotted around the capital is a stunning Ferrari F12, a Saudi Arabian Porsche 918 Spyder and a six-wheel Mercedes G63, worth around £370,000.

The influx of the supercars also brings out the best of the British-owned vehicles in force - with one Mercedes spotted covered in Swarovski crystals
