Ijaw Youths, under the auspices of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Worldwide has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari for giving credit to the President of United States of America, USA, Barrack Obama for the successful conduct of the 2015 general election instead of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

IYC, President, Udengs Eradiri, who spoke at a news conference in Yenagoa on Thursday after a meeting of executives of the body, disclosed that the political class in the country worked by instituting a free, fair and credible electoral process.

Buhari praised the U.S. Government for mounting pressure on Jonathan to ensure that Nigeria conducted a credible 2015 general elections.

The President who was speaking in a joint press conference he had with President Obama in the Oval Office on Monday had recalled the visits of the American Secretary of State to Nigeria prior to the elections, saying that but for such pressure, Nigeria might not have been where it is democratically.

The Ijaw Youth in response said; “Buhari should give credit to Jonathan for making the process work.

“We fault the President for commending the US instead of giving credit to Jonathan. Jonathan swallowed pride and made sacrifice to ensure peace and unity of Nigeria.”

At the wake of the announcement of the 2015 general election, Barrack Obama had commended Jonathan for his commitment towards making the election a reality.

“I commend President Goodluck Jonathan for his public commitments to non-violence throughout the campaign. http://www.post-nigeria.com/2015-polls-give-credit-to-jonathan-not-obama-ijaw-youths-tell-buhari/

Yes, give jonathan credit for almost flooring the Nigerian economy in less then 6years. give jonathan credit for causing more damage to the Nigerian economy btwn 2010-2015 than the damage accrued since independence till may6, 2010.
Some jonatanic spirits will kick back at me, but i bind them BUHARIcally in the interest of Nigeria!!!
If there is anybody to receive credit for democracy in nigeria,id rather give Abdulsalam Abubarka for allowing the transition...Jonathan wouldnt have won through massive rigging and still hand over to PMB.
