Hello Nairalanders. i have a bwm 316i 1994 model. the temperature meter does not work. when you start the engine it those not come up. it one comes up when you have stayed long in a goslow or hold up. this problem stated when the top gasket was changed when it got burnt. it use to stay at the middle of the meter when your start the engine before the gasket change. what could be the problem? |

So they must have removed thermostat and done rewire. Person who fixed it did an incomplete work, find better mechanic. May be type of coolant you're using. |

@sultaan Thanks. the thermostat was remove when it was brought into nigeria in jan 2008. however the meter was working fine untill some time in october when the the gasket got burnt. after repair it stop working fine. Do your know anyone that is good in bmw repair? |
