Concerned Edo State Citizens have staged a protest in Abuja, asking the National Assembly not to approve the loan request by Governor Adams Oshiomhole for additional N18billion loan from the World Bank.  Oshiomhole has already borrowed over N250billion as governor in seven years. President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter to the National Assembly requested on behalf of Oshiomhole for permission to further plunge Edo state into debts. Oshiomhole has been attacking former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who blocked this particular loan after telling Oshiomhole that over N250billion loan already obtained by Oshiomhole with nothing to show for it is tantamount to mortgaging the future of the state. http://www.nairawall.com/edo/central/news/politics/878 |
