"The colonialists had claimed that it would take Nigeria about five hundred years to learn the technology and the complexity of the oil industry. The Biafran’s learnt to refine the crude within the period of the fight. Today, we still export our crude abroad to be refined. Why this consumerism mind-set? This consumerism mind-set is not usual to Nigeria alone, it is the norm in most African states. We don’t have faith and trust in most things that are indigenously made. Why?"
