The Book of Seven Kills - Fourth Kill
It was Saturday Morning, dad and I were quite hungry and mom seemed to spend eternity in the kitchen, I hadn't devised my kill yet neither had I decided my victim, but I felt like a vampire, hungry for blood, the voice of "Don jazzy slizzed my ear drums as he shouted " Oya gift" I always loved iyanya and Don jazzy so having them on the same song felt like heaven, the thought of heaven made me think if God saw my good work, helping him correct his creations. The aroma of Egg and Hot chocolate tea filled the kitchen I hoped soonest I'd hear the command I have been waiting for.
"Ade! Come and carry your food" and I did! How God answers little prayers - in the dining with my family, there was this awkward silence, especially from dad, he'd been moody since he heard about soupy's death - Dad never stopped talking about how the man was determined to be a better father for his kids, that's why he worked so late and hard, I didn't care, so whenever he spoke about soupy, I turned Deaf ears, in the clattering of plates and the sound of our chews, one word caught our attention, we all looked up in Unison as we saw a reporter, giving a new coverage about our neighbourhood, the neighborhood was familiar just as the reporter, he lived some blocks away, everybody calls him PP - Paper and pen, and I never bothered to read what his real name was
"Why is he covering only the local sides, painting the neighborhood in bad light, I said between a hiss, I knew both my parents hated hissing but I was disgusted by lack of P.P's professionalism
" its the best thing, so the government would add more security and fix the bad parts" he said between a hiss also, more like a mocking and "I overlooked your hiss" kind of hiss, well it brought smiles on our faces,
They were probably smiling because of my Dad's humor, but me I was smiling because I have just found my next Victim

The fence to his compound was one of the lowest in the neighborhood, I still don't get what makes lawyers, activists and Journalists so bold, I bet their boldness is only for the profession, outside they would be chickens but I guess was made this victim so bold was his guard Dog, the beast looked so intimidating I wished I could abort the mission, but I couldn't, I reached for my bad and threw meat over the fence knowing the dumb Dog would eat it and sleep off, I just hope the sedative wasn't too much so it won't kill the dog - am not a fan of animal brutality, I waited for 10 mins and peeps through the fence, the dog looked dead, but I was scared, and that made me furious! I need the anger to fuel my kill but the anger and fear that the dog might me pretending like those ones on animal planet, who trick I owners that they are dead or something, I brought out my knife just in case, I jumped and tiptoed past the dog, and as they say "Let the sleeping dog lie" I gladly let this dog lie. The house was well built, the wall and looking through the window it seemed my victim didn't like darkness, all the rooms were brightly lit, I made my way through the study window, it was a nice place the Oak table didn't smell like wood and the magazines on the table looked like a fun read - decent man, no pornography, I walked towards the sitting room, stood right behind him, sadly he was too engrossed in what he was watching to feel the presence, I took my slit knife and slit his throat, blood.... A lot of blood, P.P lay dead on his White now soaked red carpet, the only thing the world would talk about his death is "He died while watching his last report, if only he knew".........
